My Story

Friday 25th Aug
On 27th July 2017 at the age of 47, I had a stroke.  I woke up and felt a little off and on getting out of bed I fell to the floor.  I had lost control of my right side and I could not see at all, I have never been as frightened in my life.  To cut a long story short I regained the use of my right side quickly and 60% of my vision slowly returned.  I am so so lucky but I know other stroke survivors are not, so I am going to swim 200 lengths of the pool (no, not the paddling pool, a proper 25m pool) before the end of the year.  If you could sponsor me then I know the Stroke Ass will ensure your money makes a difference to a stroke survivors life.  Times are hard financially for many at the moment so please  don’t feel in anyway obliged to donate.

Thank you to my sponsors
