add remove

We don’t do swimming costumes here at Stroke Association, but have a look around to find the best costume for you. If you raise £50.00 (or more!) we’ll send you your very own Stroke Association swimming cap to complete your kit.

What if I can't swim the whole distance?

add remove

The great thing about this challenge is that it is totally flexible so you can don’t have to do all your miles on set days. You can spread it out over as many days as you like. If you are unable to complete your Swim for Stroke challenge, why not ask a friend or family member to continue it on and finish the miles you weren’t able to take?

Does everyone have to start together/when does it start?

add remove
There is no set start dates for Swim for Stroke. Please start in your own time, and take it at your own pace – it’s not a race!

When does Swim for Stroke finish?

add remove
One of the great things about Swim for Stroke is it gives you the flexibility to swim your chosen distance at a time and place that suits you. We do recommend you set yourself the goal of completing your miles within a month of starting so that your “eyes stay on the prize”, but if you need longer then the flexibility is yours – it’s not a race!
