There are over 1.3 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.

We're here to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke. We believe everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke, so we work with the stroke community to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.

In honour of my dad 💙

Sunday 20th Apr

In November 2023 Alan Gray suffered a life changing stroke, and battled with his health, but managed to return home for 4 months. On 23rd August 2024, we sadly lost my dad, he passed away peacefully with his family by his side.

Shortly after his passing, we discovered that the Edinburgh Marathon was taking place on his birthday 25th May, so we couldn’t think of a more perfect way to honour his memory. A group of Alan’s family and friends will be running the marathon together so any donations made to support a charity that is close to us means the world.

Thank you for your support, and we look forward to crossing the finishing line in honour of my dad 💙
