Great North Run for The Stroke Association
Sunday 18th May On the 7th September 2023 my dad suffered a terrible stroke at home. Luckily me and my family were there with him to give him the support that was needed making sure he got to York hospital. I will be running the Great North run to the exact day this occurred. This tragic event has challenged me mentally and physically to overcome. The 13.1 miles will be tough but understanding what my dad went through will push me to complete this race. Knowing his recovery and motivation has pushed me to raise funds and awareness to others who have also experienced this and support all out there. I will be running this event with my dad to raise the awareness and funds needed for the charity, any support will help us so much and we appreciate anything big or small, thanks.
