What is Stroke Information Live?
Stroke Information Live is a free event organised by the Stroke Association East of England for people affected by stroke.
The day brings together stroke survivors, carers, families, healthcare professionals and local organisations to share information, provide practical advice and create opportunities for people to connect with others who understand life after stroke.

Is there a cost to attend?
No.
The event is completely free.
Lunch and refreshments are included.
Do I need to register?
Yes.
Registration is needed to secure your space.
The registration form will ask questions so we can get to know you and how best to support you on the day.
If you are coming with someone, they need to register too.

Can my family or carer come?
Stroke affects the whole family and those around you. Family, friends, carers and stroke group members are all very welcome.
Please note you must register every person who is attending.
This will ensure we can cater and support everyone.
Only assistance dogs are allowed on site.
Can I bring my dog?
Only assistance dogs are allowed on site.
Is the venue accessible?
The Norfolk Showground Events Centre is fully accessible with:
- Accessible parking
- Step-free access
- Accessible toilets
- Hearing loop (where available)
If you have any additional accessibility requirements, please let us know when you register.

Will catering be available?
Yes.
Tea, coffee, light refreshments and a sandwich lunch box will be provided by the Stroke Association.
To help manage the catering order, please tell us on the registration form your preferred choice of lunch options and if you have any specific dietary requirements.
We can only cater for orders and dietary requirements notified in advance.
Your lunch choices will be printed on your name badge.
Getting there and parking
Please enter the Showground via Green Gate, and follow signs for the Events Centre West. You can also view a map here.
Plenty of free parking is available.
If you require accessible parking, please use the hard standing spaces closest to the entrance. These are available on a first come first serve basis.
Please leave these spaces available for those who need them most.
Additional parking is available on the adjacent grassed area.
Stall holders, staff and speakers are asked to park on the grassed area if feasible. If you need to unload, please move your vehicle to a suitable spot as soon as possible to allow accessibility for those who need it most.
You are welcome to arrive from 9.15am to register and refreshments.
Speakers will begin at 10.00am.

- Opportunities to ask questions
- Time to meet other stroke survivors and carers
The event is expected to finish at 4.00pm.

Will photographs be taken?
Yes.
Photographs and short videos may be taken during the event to help us promote future Stroke Information Live events.
If you would prefer not to appear in any photographs, please let us know when you register or speak to a member of the team on arrival.
