Golf for Stroke

Terms & Conditions

To fundraise for the Stroke Association by organizing your own event or participating in Golf for Stroke you (You, I, Participant/s) must agree to the terms and conditions below. These terms constitute the fundraising agreement between the Stroke Association (The Stroke Association, Us, We, The Organisation) and you, as a participant.

• Anyone organizing their own fundraising event, activity or challenge for the Stroke Association must be aged 18 or over by the Event Date, or be supervised by a trusted adult over the age of 18.
• You understand that the fundraising event, activity or challenging you are taking part in or organising is in aid of the Stroke Association. You understand that:
  • Participants assume all risks associated with their participation in the fundraising event, activity or challenge and the Stroke Association bears no liability or responsibility for the event.
  • If taking part in an active challenge, participants confirm that they are medically fit and acknowledge and agree that participation is at their own risk. The Stroke Association shall not be responsible or liable for any injury or illness resulting from participation.
• You will be responsible for collecting and paying in all funds raised to The Stroke Association. Advice on paying in your donations can be found here: https://www.stroke.org.uk/get-involved/fundraise/paying-your-fundraising-money
• You must only claim Gift Aid on eligible donations.
• You understand and will make clear to those who support your fundraising that any money I send to the Stroke Association will be treated as a donation and used to help stroke survivors via services and research, and support the day-to-day running of the charity.
• Donations are non-refundable. However, if you have concerns about how your donation is being used, please contact us.

• We will process your personal information in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).   
• Your information will be kept secure and will only be used for the purposes of this fundraising campaign and for legitimate fundraising purposes. 
• You may receive an acknowledgment of your donation.
• We may use your name and donation amount for publicity purposes, with your full and informed consent, unless you request otherwise.
• If uploading videos/pictures to social media, by sharing content on a public platform, participants grant The Stroke Association permission to use and share their submissions for promotional purposes.
