Why im running for team Stroke

Wednesday 11th Sep
I will be running the London Marathon on April 27th, 2025, in memory of my father, who passed away on May 26th, 2019. I still remember vividly during my A-Level exams in 2019 when I got the news my father had passed away. I felt numb and empty inside. He had suffered two strokes before his passing and over that time I saw him become weaker and there was nothing I could do physically and mentally to support him. The Stroke Society played a pivotal role in supporting my dad by offering invaluable resources and expertise. They facilitated access to rehabilitation programs, including physical, occupational, and speech therapies, that helped him while he was still with us.     
After years passed I embarked on my fitness journey which began on January 1st, 2023, I began my weight loss journey, going from 120kg to 75kg in just one year. From there, I set myself the goal of running the London Marathon. Running for TeamStroke allows me to honor my father and demonstrate that you can push your body to its limits.                                                             
This cause is incredibly close to my heart, and it means the world to me to be able to run the London Marathon and raise money in my dad’s memory. Any donations are gratefully received, and I hope they will help give others the extra years my dad had, allowing them to create memories that last a lifetime.
