I'm taking part in the TCS London Marathon as part of #TeamStroke
Hey - I'm Tom!
In late 2024, a hole in my heart caused an ischemic stroke.
I was one of the lucky ones. But luck isn't enough: every five minutes, someone in the UK has a stroke, and 1.4 million survivors are rebuilding their lives right now, many without the support they deserve. That's why I'm running.
Since my stroke I've hiked an erupting volcano, surfed six-foot waves in Guatemala, and run a marathon in 30°C heat -because I believe growth comes from challenge, and a stroke is not the end of the story. On the start line in London this April, I'll be running for the Stroke Association, for the research they fund, the care they fight for, and every survivor who knows exactly how much it costs to come back.
