I'm taking part in the Great North Run as part of #TeamStroke
I joined #TeamStroke for the Great North Run.
There are over 1.3 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.
We're here to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke. We believe everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke, so we work with the stroke community to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.

Wednesday 11th Sep I loved every second of the Great North Run on Sunday it was truly epic! Brilliant people, fantastic atmosphere, just all round good vibes! 13.1 mile in the bag! In 2hrs 4mins!! And I’m so happy with that! Share

Sunday 18th Aug Did 5K on Friday morning 16/08, 32 mins and then 5K Saturday morning 17/08, 27mins!! Felt epic after both!!! Share
Kinder Brownies!
Tuesday 23rd Jul I made kinder Brownies for my colleagues at work and they went down a treat! Raised £24!! Everyone loved them and I’ll be doing some more! Share

Monday 8th Jul Another 5K dusted off in park run! So happy! Got my personal best time too of 27mins 27 secs!! So happy!!! Share
The Lindley 10k!!!
Friday 5th Jul Did my first ever 10k on the 30th June and it felt so good!!!! I was refreshed and did it in a time of 57mins I was under an hour and my goal was just to finish in over 1hr at least! So I was proud and impressed with my performance!!! Share
5km in Rippon, Fountains Abbey
Monday 10th Jun I did my fastest time on a 5k Run at Fountains Abbey in Rippon. Felt amazing and even did a long walk around the grounds, ended up doing 24,000 steps by the end of the day!!! Share
Park run 5K
Wednesday 29th May Did the park run on 25th May, felt so good to run and be part of a huge running group all aiming to run and achieve their best times. Got 31 mins on the park run website! My personal best since I last did it in 2019 36 mins and 2016 34 mins! Non stop running! So proud! Share
10km lindley run
Wednesday 8th May I have a lindley 10k run coming up on the 30th June! I am so excited to take part in this! I feel my training Really working and I am going to blitz it! Share
Run today
Wednesday 8th May 3 mile run today! Felt amazing for it!!! 3 miles in 30mins not too shabby! Share
How stroke affected my life
Thursday 7th Mar I lost my Gran to a stroke and a heart attack a couple of years ago. This deeply affected me and my mentality so much that I lost myself a little with the grief and pain. I didn’t want to deal. Eventually I opened up more talked and let my emotions out and got back into my fitness and got my thoughts and body back to a place where I get strong and capable again.Thank you to my sponsors
