Hi my name is Sarah and I have been running for 14 years.

I have done 3 Marathons now and to being able to take part of the London marathon and help the charity is a BIG tick on my list

The charity I am running for is The Stroke Association in honour of my mum who spent 19 years of her career as a nurse on the stroke ward at our local hospital and my sister in law’s dad, Allan sadly ended up having two big strokes which left him unable to do things for his self.

I want to raise awareness of this awful affliction and raise as much money as I can to help the Stroke Association carry on their invaluable work.

The Stroke Association funds research into prevention, treatment and better methods of rehabilitation, and helps stroke patients and their families directly through its Life After Stroke Services.

They also campaign, educate and inform to increase knowledge of stroke at all levels of society, and act as a voice for everyone affected by stroke.
