TCS London Marathon 2025

I'm taking part in the TCS London Marathon as part of #TeamStroke

I joined #TeamStroke for the TCS London Marathon 2025.

There are over 1.3 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.

We're here to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke. We believe everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke, so we work with the stroke community to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.

Why I’m running the London Marathon for Stroke Association

Sunday 22nd Sep

Hello everyone,

I am thrilled to share that I will be participating in the London Marathon this year, and I am running to support a cause that is very close to my heart – the Stroke Association.

I have seen firsthand the devastating impact that strokes can have on individuals and their families. Strokes are one of the leading causes of disability and death in the UK, and the journey to recovery can be long and challenging. The Stroke Association does incredible work in providing support, conducting research, and raising awareness to help those affected by strokes.

My decision to run the marathon for the Stroke Association is driven by a personal connection to their mission, having lost my mum to a Stroke in 2021. By running the marathon, I hope to raise funds that will contribute to vital research and support services, making a real difference in the lives of stroke survivors and their families.

I am reaching out to you, my friends, family, and colleagues, to join me in this journey. Your support, whether through donations or cheering me on, will mean the world to me and to the countless individuals who benefit from the Stroke Association's work. Together, we can make a difference and help create a future where fewer lives are impacted by strokes.

Thank you for your support and encouragement.
