I'm taking part in the TCS London Marathon as part of #TeamStroke
I joined #TeamStroke for the TCS London Marathon 2024.
There are over 1.3 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.
We're here to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke. We believe everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke, so we work with the stroke community to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.

Supporting The Stroke Foundation
Sunday 23rd Apr My late mother died in 2001 after her third stroke. She was one of the most loving, kind, energetic and driven people I have ever know. I was just 12 years old when she had her first stroke, and because I was there when it happened, it is an image that haunts me till today. But worse than that is the manner in which the rest of her life was so adversely affected. Once such an energetic lady, the stroke paralysed her on one side, and she was never herself again. To witness someone that was once so full of life and energy become a shadow of herself was both sickening and traumatic for me. As such, supporting the Stroke foundation is something that is very important to me, as we need to help those who have suffered from a stroke as much as we can. I am not only running the TCS London Marathon 2024 in memory of my mother but more importantly to help those who have suffered from a stroke. I will very much appreciate your kind and loving support to raise money for those who have suffered from a stroke. ShareThank you to my sponsors
