I'm taking part in the Edinburgh Marathon Festival 2025 as part of #TeamStroke
I’m running my first 10K to raise money for a charity very close to both mine & Scott’s families hearts; Stroke Assocation🟣
My grandad has had 2 strokes and continually has TIAs which has caused him to develop vascular dementia. Unfortunately there is no way to stop the TIAs and therefore the dementia will keep progressing but we are making sure he is happy and giving him 3 desserts a day☺️
Scott’s dad, John, suffered a major stroke last year leaving him unable to walk or use his left arm. He was told he’d never walk again but amazingly through physiotherapy and the constant drive to never give up he proved them wrong and his recovery has been a miracle👏🏽
Both our families have been massively effect in different ways and the least I can do is raise money for this charity in hopes it can help other families in the future✨
