Support me in the Great Manchester Run 2025 with #TeamStroke

I’m taking on the Great Manchester Run 2025 as part of #TeamStroke to honor my uncle, Adrian Gani, and to help make a difference for stroke survivors and their families.
Every year, 100,000 strokes happen in the UK—that’s one every five minutes. With over 1.3 million stroke survivors in the country, the Stroke Association plays a vital role in helping people rebuild their lives, funding life-changing research, and campaigning for better care.
This cause is close to my heart. My uncle, Adrian Gani—who we called “Oom Adrian”—suffered a stroke in 2020 at just 44 years old. It left him in a coma for four years, and we tragically lost him on December 10th, 2024, at the age of 48.
Oom Adrian was truly one of the kindest and most selfless people I’ve ever had the privilege of knowing. Growing up, my sister and I were fortunate to be able to spend time with him every week. He and my aunt made it a priority to spend their one day off with us, whether it was running errands, dining out, or watching movies. He was the kind of person who would always put others first, ready to drop everything to lend a hand whenever someone needed it.
Losing him so suddenly while he was in Indonesia was heartbreaking, especially as I couldn’t say goodbye. Running this 10k is my way of honoring his memory and continuing his legacy of kindness.
Every donation will support the Stroke Association’s vital work, from funding services and research to improving care for stroke survivors and their families.
Please join me in making a difference. Thank you for supporting me and #TeamStroke.

This is really good that you are doing this in his memory. He would have been so proud.
