2026 London Marathon Stroke Association
Tuesday 7th OctFor the 2nd year in a row, I’ve been very lucky to be selected by the Stroke Association to take part in the TCS London Marathon as part of #TeamStroke.
I’ve joined Team Stroke for the TCS London Marathon 2026.
Recently as a family we've had to stand on our own two feet when it comes to strokes and the impact this has had on our family.
Christmas Eve 2023 my Stepmother in Law had a stroke. With help from the local stroke team, she's made a miraculous recovery considering she's 80 years old.
May 2024 my Niece had a stroke whilst driving, this resulted in her losing her vision in one eye. Research is still on going to clarify why this happened, considering she is only in her early 20's.
March 2024 my 19-year-old daughter Paige lost her best friend 17-year-old Ruby to a stroke. Paige and Ruby had been best friends since nursery and were like sisters. She was the sweetest, kindest girl, with the biggest heart. She will be missed deeply and will forever be a missing part of our lives.
After my stories above, I've been lucky enough and privileged to be selected by The Stroke Association for a 2nd time to run in the 2026 London marathon, raising funds for the Stroke Association.
Last year I managed to raise £4,319.39 for the Stroke Association and I know with the cost-of-living money is tight now, but if you can donate to my charity page, it would be appreciated. Any amount would be greatly received.

I must be mad doing this for a 2nd time, but as per my recent personal experiences it's for a worthy charity.
There are over 1.3 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.
We're here to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke. We believe everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke, so we work with the stroke community to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.
I’ve promised Michelle my wife, that this is that last time I put myself through this. 😊
