I joined #TeamStroke for the Cardiff Half Marathon 2026!
There are over 1.4 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.
We're here to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke. We believe everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke, so we work with the stroke community to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.

Why im running for Stroke Association
Thursday 23rd Oct My partner Shelby has suffered 3 strokes all by the age of 30. Each one has affected her in different ways. She has had to learn to walk properly again and learn to do simple tasks that we take for granted. Her strength to overcome everything has always amazed me and made me so proud. Unfortunately she will always be at risk of another stroke due to her condition but that doesnt stop her from thriving in life. A stroke can happen to anyone at anytime and can be life changing so any money raised will go to Stroke Association to help continue the amazing research and support they offer.
