I'm taking part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon as part of #TeamStroke
In March, my mum had a stroke and spent 3 months in hospital. She's now continuing her recovery at home. The Stroke Association has been an incredible support for people like her and their families.
This October, I’m running the Royal Parks Half Marathon to raise money for this amazing cause — with my friend Katy by my side (aka my self-appointed pacer, because she’s crazy good at running).
There are over 1.3 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.
Stroke Association supports people to rebuild their lives after stroke. Everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke, so they work with the stroke community to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support. They rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.
Please dig deep and donate – every bit helps! 💜
Good luck Liz xxx
