I'm taking part in the Great Manchester Run 2025 as part of #TeamStroke
I joined #TeamStroke for the Great Manchester Run 2025.
There are over 1.3 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.
In memory of my late Grandad, I am taking part in the 10k Great Manchester Run on 18th May to raise money for Stroke Association. I know personally the heartbreaking impact of a stroke on the person and their loved ones, and the risk of recurrent strokes is high. Life long support and rehabilitation is needed for someone that has a stroke and Stroke Association is there for stroke survivors and their families at the hardest time imaginable.
They provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.
