Great North Run half marathon in memory of my Grandad Patrick

I have decided to run my first half marathon by taking part in the Great North Run while raising money and awareness for the Stroke Association in memory of my grandad Patrick who suffered from strokes. Any donations no matter how big or small are greatly appreciated. Please feel free to share my page.

I joined #TeamStroke for the Great North Run.

 A stroke is a medical emergency. It can happen to anyone, of any age, at any time. The impact can be devastating, costing people their ability to move, communicate, and lead their everyday lives. Two thirds of people who survive a stroke find themselves living with a disability. And 1 in 4 strokes happen in people of working age.

Stroke association is the UKs largest charity dedicated to helping with the emotional, practical, and financial cost of a stroke.

Together, we can make sure that all stroke survivors lead the best life possible after having a stroke.

How the money can help:
- £50 could help fund more research projects and improve treatment for stroke survivors.
- £30 could help to run groups where survivors can connect and share their experiences of stroke.
