On 4th October, I will be taking part in the glasgow half marathon to raise awareness of stroke and the challenges faced by young stroke survivors and their families.
A year ago, our lives changed forever when our daughter, Eilidh, suffered a stroke. Hearing those words as parents was devastating, and in a single moment our world was turned upside down.
Since then, Eilidh has shown incredible strength, determination, and courage. We are incredibly proud of the progress she has made throughout her recovery. While she has come a long way, there are still challenges ahead, and she continues to face each day with resilience and positivity.
Through this half marathon, I hope to raise awareness that strokes can affect people of any age, including children and young adults.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help make a difference. Your support will not only help raise awareness of stroke but will also show families like ours that they are not alone.
