I have joined #TeamStroke for the TCS London Marathon 2024
There are over 1.3 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. The Stroke Association helps people rebuild their lives after strokes and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.
It’s a charity and cause that I hold very close to my heart as my Dad had a stroke in January 2022. My grandad also passed away due to a stroke and I have seen the impact it can have on individuals and people around them.
My mum is a specialist stroke nurse in the NHS whose amazing team cared for and supported my dad in his recovery. He’s come a long way and running this marathon for the Stroke Association is in honour of him, my family and all of those that have supported us!
I am so grateful to anyone that can donate to and support my run in the London Marathon for a charity that provides vital services to those affected by strokes.
