I'm taking part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon as part of #TeamStroke
In June 2023, my lovely mum Debbie unexpectedly had a Stroke, and heartbreakingly, she didn't make it. Anyone who knew my mum, knew she would light up any room she walked into. She was full of laughter, pogoing and chitchat.
I want to do my part to honour my mum in my own way and challenge myself. I always said to her ‘you’ll never catch me running a marathon or even half’ and here we are!
Stroke Association is such an incredible charity that supports families of people who have struggled with a stroke and for me that means everything.
