I'm taking part in the Great North Run 2027 with #TeamStroke
I've joined #TeamStroke for the Great North Run 2027.
There are over 1.4 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.
No survivor should have to face life after stroke without stroke support, providing consistent, tailored help on the long journey to recovery.
We work with the stroke community to ensure the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.

GNR 2027
Monday 28th Sep I’m taking on the 2027 Great North Run to raise money for The Stroke Association. My brother who is 2 years older than me is a stroke survivor so I’ve seen first hand the impact a stroke can have not only on the person affected but also on their loved ones.
Great North Run 2027
Wednesday 23rd SepIn 2027, I’ll be taking on the Great North Run to raise money for The Stroke Association, a cause that is incredibly close to my heart.
I’m running in support of my brother, who is a stroke survivor. Seeing his journey and the impact a stroke can have on both the individual and their loved ones has inspired me to take on this challenge and help raise awareness and vital funds for stroke support.
Every mile I run will be for my brother and for everyone whose lives have been affected by stroke. I’m proud to be running for such an important cause and would be incredibly grateful for any support along the way.
