Wednesday 3rd Jan On 1st January, a friend of both Lily and I experienced a serious stroke. Not the best way to welcome the New Year of 2024 to say the least. Our friend though has such strength of character and good family support around him, that although his road to recovery maybe long, his positive attitude and commitment to overcome the devastating effects that strokes can cause is an example of his courage in the most difficult of times . This year I'll be participating in the Great North Run for the Stroke Association charity. If you can spare any small amount to contribute to the cause and the brilliant work that the Stroke Association do, we would really appreciate it.
