Tokyo Marathon 2026

I'm taking part in the Tokyo Marathon 2026 as part of #TeamStroke

I have joined #TeamStroke for the Tokyo Marathon 2026.

There are over 1.4 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening each year — that’s one stroke every five minutes.

I am running the 2026 Tokyo Marathon for the Stroke Association, a cause deeply personal to me and my family. In 2004, my Nan had a severe stroke and required care until she passed in 2011. Seeing the impact on her and our family inspired me to help. When I was 18, I ran my first ever marathon — the London Marathon — to raise funds for the Stroke Association. Now, I will be running my final race of the Six World Marathon Majors, once again supporting the Stroke Association — a small way to give back to the charity that supported us.

The Stroke Association provides crucial care, campaigns for better support, and funds research to help survivors live their best life possible. Running the Tokyo Marathon and completing the Six Stars will be a meaningful way to honor my Nan’s memory and support other families.

Together, we can make a real difference — one life at a time. Thank you so much for any donation you are able to make, it will go a long way.
