My First Half Marathon: Supporting the Stroke Association

I’ve decided to take on my very first half marathon at the start of November as a way to round off a year focused on losing weight, getting fitter, and improving my overall health.

I’ll be running in support of the Stroke Association, a cause that has become very personal to me since my mum suffered a stroke in May. It was the first time I’d seen someone close to me go through such a difficult experience, and the support and resources provided by the Stroke Association have played a big role in her recovery.

For me, completing this half marathon will be both a milestone of personal achievement and an opportunity to raise funds for a charity that makes a real difference for people and families during one of the toughest times in their lives.
