I'm taking part in the TCS London Marathon as part of #TeamStroke
I joined #TeamStroke for the TCS London Marathon 2024.
I’m running in memory of my wonderful grandma, who passed away suddenly and unexpectedly after suffering a stroke in 2011. 💜💛
There are over 1.3 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.
The Stroke Association are there to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke. We believe everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke, so we work with the stroke community to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.

Time to Taper!
Tuesday 2nd Apr I can't really believe I've made it to this point in training but the taper has officially begun! After a 20 mile run two weeks ago and a 15 mile run at the weekend, it's time to start decreasing the mileage to give my legs a break before the big day! Share
Week 6 of training!
Tuesday 30th Jan I’m now officially 1/3 of the way through training for the Marathon! I’ve been absolutely blown away by everyone’s support so far and it’s definitely making the miles feel easier!
Week 4 of Training
Friday 12th Jan I’m now nearly finished week 4 of marathon training and so far so good! I completed my first race of the year last week at the Loch Morlich 10km which was a tough course but a good run! Share
