There are over 1.4 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.

We're here to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke. We believe everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke, so we work with the stroke community to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.

I’ll be running in loving memory of my beautiful nana, who we sadly lost a few years ago after she suffered two devastating strokes. She fought so bravely, yet the condition was completely unforgiving. She was a kind, gentle soul who brought so much warmth and love into the lives of everyone who knew her. I’m running to honour her memory, and to support all those who are living with the effects of a stroke today — as well as those who, heartbreakingly, may face it in the future. Every donation goes towards helping people and families whose lives have been forever changed by this condition. This run is for her, and for everyone who has loved and lost someone to stroke. 💜
