I'm taking part in the Great North Run 2025 as part of #TeamStroke
Losing our mum, Teresa, to a stroke in June 2025 was devastating. In her final days, we were incredibly moved by the compassion and professionalism of the staff at Craigavon Area Hospital. To honour our mum and show our gratitude, my brother, Reggie, and I are running the Great North Run, raising money for the Stroke Association.
The Stroke Association helps people rebuild their lives after a stroke. There are over 1.3 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes occurring each year—that's one every five minutes. The Stroke Association works with the stroke community to ensure people get the best possible care and support.
They rely on donations to provide vital services, advocate for better stroke care, and fund research into prevention and rehabilitation. Every donation helps them continue their life-changing work.
