I'm taking part in the TCS London Marathon as part of #TeamStroke

Can’t believe im writing this but… i’ve only gone and joined #TeamStroke for the TCS London Marathon 2025!

On the 23rd February 2024, the one and only, our Derek James Rolls - beloved Husband, adored Dad to his son, daughters & sorta daughters, worlds best Grandad, valued friend to so many and hugely respected estate agent of Moordown, chose his time to leave us 💔

He never once doubted that he would deal with the vile cancer that had invaded his body for the second time but unfortunately, a stroke on the 15th February (and subsequent strokes while in hospital) had other ideas.

The most incredible man. Forever showing the upmost kindness and generosity.

There are over 1.3 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.

Stroke is a medical emergency. It can happen to anyone, of any age, at any time. The impact can be devastating, costing people their ability to move, communicate and lead their everyday lives.

Stroke Association's specialist support, research and campaigning are only possible with the courage and determination of the stroke community.

Now being apart of that community, this is my opportunity to give back and help raise as much money as possible whilst honouring the most wonderful man.
