I joined #TeamStroke for the Royal Parks Half Marathon 2026.
There are over 1.4 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.
We're here to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke. We believe everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke, so we work with the stroke community to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.

Sunday 12th JulOn 14th December, we lost our wonderful dad after he suffered a devastating brain stem stroke that left him with Locked-In Syndrome a truly cruel and heartbreaking condition.
Watching someone you love go through such a horrific experience is something no family should ever have to face. Losing our dad has turned our lives upside down, and not a day goes by that we don't miss him.
To honour his memory, my sister and I are taking on the Royal London Half Marathon. We are running not only for our dad, but also to raise money for stroke awareness and help support others affected by this devastating condition.
