I'm Running a 10K for the Stroke Association – In Memory of John Conlin.
I’ll be taking on a 10K run to raise money for the Stroke Association – a charity that works tirelessly to support stroke survivors and fund vital research.
This cause is deeply personal to me. My wife tragically lost her father after he suffered a catastrophic stroke. It was sudden and utterly devastating. Although he sadly passed away, we are incredibly grateful for the remarkable care and support he received in his final days and hours. The Wiltshire Air Ambulance acted with incredible speed and professionalism to get him the urgent help he needed, and the team at Southmead Hospital in Bristol gave him the highest level of care with compassion and dignity.
More recently, I have also been supporting my mum, who has suffered a major stroke with life-changing consequences. Experiencing stroke so close to home has given me an even deeper understanding of the challenges faced by survivors and their families. It’s a journey that requires resilience, care, and support – all of which the Stroke Association helps provide.
We can't thank the medical heroes enough – but I hope that by raising money for the Stroke Association, I can do something positive in memory of my wife’s father and in support of my mum, helping other families affected by stroke.
Every donation, no matter the size, makes a real difference. It helps fund research, support stroke survivors in rebuilding their lives, and provide resources for families navigating one of the hardest journeys imaginable.
Please consider sponsoring me and supporting this vital cause. Thank you so much for reading and for your support. It truly means the world.
