I'm taking part in the Great Manchester Run 2025 as part of #TeamStroke

I joined #TeamStroke for the Great Manchester Run 2025. This charity is close to my heart as there are lots of people who I know have suffered or lost loved ones from a stroke. They support people suffering strokes or related illnesses and provide funding for research. My beautiful mum suffers with multiple health conditions, including mimic strokes. My mum is the most precious person to me, I want to remind her of her strength and how much support she has. In addition, I also have my nan who has suffered 2 serious strokes during COVID. She recovered but has never been the same. I’m forever proud of my mum and nanny for their resilience through the toughest days. There are so many strong people out there who deserve all the support in the world. Any donations I would appreciate to help this amazing charity.

There are over 1.3 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes. We're here to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke. We believe everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke, so we work with the stroke community to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.
