I'm taking part in the Walk your Marathon challenge for Stroke!
I joined #TeamStroke for Walk your Marathon, taking on 26.2 miles over 2 weeks.
Stroke is a condition I am very familiar with on a personal level. My great grandmother and both my beloved nans suffered debilitating strokes that severely impacted thier lives, mental status and attributed to thier passing away. Stroke runs in my family do much that I feel this is an appropriate challenge to support in my bid to help the world and the future of medicine while getting fitter.
I intend to walk my marathon between the 8th and 22nd October. I am determined to fit my challenge into the 2 weeks, even with my arthritis!
Stroke Association is here to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke. We believe everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke, so we work with the stroke community to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.
