I'm taking part in the Stride for Stroke challenge!

I joined #TeamStroke for Stride for Stroke in honour of my dad Ben Smith who took two serious strokes back in January 2024 but thank the lord is slowly but surely getting better .

Stroke Association is here to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke. We believe everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke, so we work with the stroke community to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.

My Dad

Saturday 4th May

On January 19th 2024 our dad was having a normal night when he got up around 1am to find out he was having a stroke dad had 2 major strokes that night leaving us questioning weather he was going to make it or not , but with god by our side our dad pulled through he’s been in hospital over the last 5 months being monitored and checked on he is now in a rehabilitation hospital learning to speak and walk again. Our dad has suffered so much but has came a long way from where he was back in January the doctors/nurses and everyone else at the hospital dad is staying at has been amazing in helping our dad get back to as normal as he can

I am doing this walk for you dad you have made me so proud so call you my farther you have achieved and so much in the last 5 months and not once have you gave up
