I'm taking part in the Great Birmingham Run 2026 as part of #TeamStroke

This run is deeply personal to me.

We lost Emma’s grandad Kev, and in recent years my grandad Bill and Kim — all to stroke. Each loss has been heartbreaking and a reminder of how suddenly stroke can take the people we love.

Stroke doesn’t just affect one person. It leaves empty chairs, unanswered calls, and families forever changed.

That’s why I’m running — to honour Bill, Kev, and Kim, to raise awareness, and to support the Stroke Association so more families can get the care, support, and hope they need.

Every step is for those we’ve lost and those still fighting their way back.
