Great North Run 2024

Tuesday 20th Feb

At the end of 2023 my grandma had a serious stroke affecting the right side of her brain, after a few days in hospital it looked like she could make a recovery and get back home. However, five days after the first, she had another on the left side of her brain which she wasn’t able to make a recovery from; passing away a week before what would have been her 86th birthday.

Over 1.3 million individuals are stroke survivors in the UK today. Fortunately, my grandma lived a long and happy life before being affected, however, not everyone is granted that. If you could spare any change to help a charity which supports people rebuild their lives after a stroke anything would greatly appreciated 🤍
