I'm taking part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon as part of #TeamStroke
I joined #TeamStroke for the Royal Parks Half Marathon 2025.
There are over 1.3 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.
My dad has had multiple strokes and TIA’s over the last three years. He’s been very lucky and has suffered only minor life changing effects from the strokes but it could have been much worse.
The care that my dad has received whether it has been acute or long term has been outstanding. His physical and mental needs have all been met and we feel safe in the knowledge that the professionals involved are passionate and dedicated.
It’s been a couple of weeks since my dad’s latest stroke and I’ve decided to dedicate some of my time end energy into raising money for one of the organisations that has helped.
