I’m fundraising for my ‘Super Gran’
Help Us Support the Stroke Association in Honour of Our ‘Super Gran’
On March 15th, our amazing Nan—fondly known as ‘Super Gran’—suffered a stroke while swimming, leaving her without the use of her left side. For those who know her, she is the definition of strength and fitness, swimming every week in the Netherton Reservoir and completing her daily mile at the leisure centre without fail.
As a family, we have been completely shaken by this life-changing event but are beyond grateful for those who helped save her. Watching our fierce, independent Nan now needing full-time care—has been incredibly difficult.
To honour her strength and resilience, we want to use our ability to move to raise funds for the Stroke Association, a charity dedicated to helping stroke survivors rebuild their lives. It’s easy to take movement for granted, but every day, thousands of people lose it in an instant.
