We are taking part in the Edinburgh Marathon Festival *10km* 2025 as part of #TeamStroke
Hi, Eve and I (Ines) are running the Edinburgh Marathon Festival 10km for Stroke Association for my brother, Noah.
Noah has been running most of his life, starting doing Parkruns at the age of 7 and soon after joined his local running club, where his love for running flourished. Unfortunately, this is something he currently cannot do. Noah had a stroke in February, which has left him paralysed in his left side. Not only can he not run, he can't do most day-to-day tasks by himself.
However, Noah is making great progress. He's able to stand, walk 20 metres and shower himself. Noah's determination to get better and positive attitude is so inspiring to us, and hopefully we can make him proud with our runs!
Stroke Associate helps people, like my brother, to rebuild their lives after a stroke. The charity provides vital services, campaigns for better stroke care and funds research into preventive and rehabilitative treatments.
