I'm taking part in the Spin for Stroke challenge!
On 24/3/23 I had a stroke in the early hours of the day which left me fully paralysed on my left side. I was in Charing Cross Hospital where the doctors said "some patients might walk in 6-8 months". Thanks to the NHS and my amazing family and friends that provided the best support network, I managed to get back on my feet and walking in 25 days!
I've decided to join #TeamStroke in the Spin for Stroke Challenge to raise money to help others in a similar position to me and use the challenge as a rehabilitation goal. I am aiming to do 100 miles on my stationery Rogue Echo bike by the 24/08/23, which will be my 5 month bleed anniversary.
