Why Brighton 2025?
On the 6th of April 2025 I will be running the Brighton Marathon to raise funds for The Stroke Association.
Not only will I be running in support of such an amazing charity but I will be running in support of everyone who has been affected by a stroke.
Over the past year I have not only seen the determination of my Nan who is on her own stroke recovery journey but also from all of stroke patients I have met along the way. It has been truly inspiring.
There are over 1.3 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.
This charity is here to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke. Them and I believe everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke, so they work with the stroke community to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support. They rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.
