We are taking part in the Great North Run 2026 as part of #TeamStroke
This year myself and Kate will be running the Great North Run in memory of our Nana, who sadly died suddenly in July 2025 after suffering a severe stroke unexpectedly. It’s a challenge we wanted to take on, to honour her and raise awareness of how stroke affects so many families.
We have joined #TeamStroke for the Great North Run 2026.
There are over 1.4 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.
They work with the stroke community to ensure the have the very best care and support. Stroke Association rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.
