Experience the thrill of a lifetime by taking part in a sponsored tandem skydive for Stroke Association. You’ll be taking an unforgettable leap (from 10,000 feet!) to help support stroke survivors.
The experience of freefalling is one you’ll never forget. All tandem jumps take place with a fully qualified skydiving instructor so all you need to do is ensure you open your eyes to take in the view!
We work with Skyline to make your booking experience as easy as possible. Our preferred charity skydive provider is Skyline Events, who will coordinate all the logistics of your parachute jump. With Skyline you can choose from 20 airfields across the country and a date that suits you.
To take part in a charity skydive for us, you'll need to pay a £70 registration fee (payable to Skyline directly when registering) and commit to raising a minimum sponsorship of £395* for us. Or you can choose to fund the skydive completely yourself, meaning there's no minimum fundraising target to meet and everything you raise will help support our vital services and support stroke survivors.
*Some airfields have a higher cost, for these locations the minimum amount you'll need to raise will be £450. This will be clear when selecting your location when booking.

Frequently asked questions
What's the fundraising deadline and what happens if I've not met it?
If you're doing a charity tandem jump, you'll need to raise your minimum sponsorship before the date of your jump and show the airfield your fundraising page, showing that it's connected to our charity and that the minimum target has been reached.
If you've not met the target by the time of your jump, the Stroke Association can't authorise the jump to go ahead. You can choose to pay the remaining amount required to your fundraising page yourself in order to complete the jump as planned (this cannot be reimbursed), or you can postpone the date to give yourself more time to fundraise.
Will I get a t-shirt to jump in?
Yes! Once you've set up your fundraising page and received £100 in donations, we'll send you your very own Stroke Association top for the big day.
Can we do a skydive as a group?
Absolutely! The more the merrier on Team Stroke. Once you've chosen your location and date with Skyline, on the first page of the booking process there will be an option to tick a box and add group members - enter the names and contact details of everyone you would like to book.
If the person you would like to jump with has already booked in, make sure to quote the person's name in the 'Group Member Info' box and Skyline will get that matched up for you.
What are the age restrictions for a tandem skydive?
The minimum age is 16 – however anyone aged 16 or 17 would need to have a parental consent form on the day of their jump. You will have access to this once you have booked.
There are some airfields that also have an upper age limit for tandem jumps, this will be advised when selecting your location.
Are there weight restrictions?
The weight limits can vary between airfields, when you click on the location you are interested in you will be able to see the details of any restrictions. If you are still unsure, please email info@skylineevents.co.uk to clarify.
What if I've had a stroke - can I still jump?
The airfields will look at each case individually, so please email Skyline at info@skylineevents.co.uk and they can check for you. With any medical condition you will also need to have the medical form signed by a doctor.
What is a tandem jump like?
A Tandem skydive lets you experience free fall without the need for lots of training. You will free fall normally from at least 10,000 feet with the parachute being opened at 5,000 feet. You then get to float down the last mile with your instructor to a soft landing. This is the perfect experience for your first-time jump as you are attached to an instructor who does all of the work for you. This leaves you free to enjoy the view!
Do I have to do my charity skydive with Skyline?
Skyline is our preferred skydive company to book with, however we understand different airfields may offer better locations for you. If that's the case, please get in touch with the details of the airfield you're interested in and we'll see what we can do to make your skydiving dreams a reality!
