I'm taking part in the Chicago Marathon 2025 as part of #TeamStroke
I joined #TeamStroke for the Chicago Marathon 2025.
There are over 1.4 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.
I am running the 2025 Chicago marathon to raise money in honour for my grandad, who bravely battled the effect a stroke can have on your life. From feeling the impact a stroke can have on someone close to you, it has made me realise how important support, care and rehabilitation is for stroke survivors and there families.
I am also dedicating this run to my Great Aunty Judy who recently passed.
Every donation will help make a difference, whether funding life-chancing research or providing vital services for those affected. Thank you for supporting this cause close to my heart.
