I'm taking part in the Bath Half Marathon as part of #TeamStroke
I've joined #TeamStroke for the stunning Bath Half Marathon 2026.
A soggy 5miles in the bag this morning… Adem I am doing this for you!
July 2024 my brother in law suffered a devastating stroke, as a fit and healthy 38 year old it wasn’t something we were expecting or wanted to believe was happening. What initially started off with nausea and dizziness suddenly escalated, leading to seizures and further strokes. Adem was rushed off to Southmead hospital for emergency surgery, he was in a critical condition and we were told to expect the worse! However, he is a fighter and pulled through.. he still has limited use in his left arm, his left leg is a lot weaker but he continues to fight to regain his strength! Adem has had the fight of his life so I can definitely stop moaning about my lack of fitness and get my backside back into this running malarkey, maybe show him I can beat my personal best! Plus, Adem has promised to meet me at the end without his wheelchair!!
