I'm taking part in the Great North Run 2026 as part of #TeamStroke in memory of Liz

I joined #TeamStroke for the Great North Run 2026 in memory of my step-mum Liz who sadly suffered a stroke and passed away end of March.

My wee dad is heartbroken so if we can help others in our Liz memory then it is worth it.

There are over 1.4 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.

No survivor should have to face life after stroke without stroke support, providing consistent, tailored help on the long journey to recovery.

We work with the stroke community to ensure the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.
