I'm taking part in the Great North Run 2025 as part of #TeamStroke
I joined #TeamStroke for the Great North Run 2025.
The charity is very close to my heart having lost two family members to strokes, my grandad aged 34 and my sister aged 31, it will be her 30th anniversary this year .
I did the GNR in 2014 with my dear friend Gill for team stroke, who sadly herself then had a stroke in November 2024 and who I'm pleased to say is now in recovery.
My profile picture is the two of us together at the finish line. We ran together most days for over 15 years.
I’m so pleased to have been given the opportunity to run for team stroke on behalf of Gill and my family .
So if you could sponsor this amazing charity however small i would be truly grateful and I probably will shed a few tears at the end.

We believe everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke, so we work with the stroke community to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support. We rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.
