I'm taking part in the Great North Run 2026 as part of #TeamStroke
I joined #TeamStroke for the Great North Run 2026.
As many of you will be aware I intended to run the GNR in 2025 for the Stroke Association. Unfortunately in June of last year I ruptured my Achilles and had to withdraw from the event.
Then in July after years of ill health my Mam sadly passed away. Things had been tough for many years after the effects of multiple strokes reducing her quality of life. She always managed to stay positive and spend some quality time with her family right up to the very end.
The last few months have brought the charity even closer to my heart and given me the determination to recover from my injury and complete the GNR in 2026 on behalf my Mam and the Stroke Association.
Any donation big or small will be greatly appreciated. Also any donations received for last years event have been rolled over into this years funds.
