I'm taking part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon 2026 as part of #TeamStroke
I joined #TeamStroke for the Royal Parks Half Marathon 2026.
This cause is particularly important to me because my dad suffered a stroke earlier this year. Thankfully, he has made an incredible recovery and is now close to 100% back to himself. However, we know how fortunate we are. Many stroke survivors and their families face life-changing challenges long after the initial stroke.
There are over 1.4 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening each year. That's one stroke every five minutes.
The Stroke Association support people to rebuild their lives after stroke, and they believe everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke. They work with the stroke community to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support.
They rely on your support to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments, and so any support you can give, whether through a donation or simply sharing this page, would mean a great deal. Together, we can help ensure more people get the care, support and opportunities they need after stroke.
